Paula Nelson Band: Paula Nelson was born on October 27th, 1969 in Houston Texas. Born into a family of music and entertainment, she started playing piano and singing at the age of seven. She drew early influences from singers like Rita Coolidge and Jesse Colter whose bluesy, supple vocal style provided one of Paula’s earliest templates as she found her own voice.  Texas Monthly has called that voice “torchy,” and the Los Angeles. Times praised, “There’s no missing the unforced power of Paula’s singing.”

Thunder & Rain: Our Story Thunder & Rain is a Golden, Colorado based band specializing in Mountain Made Colorado Country. Their recently recorded debut EP, Unto Those Hills, is the band's display of a rich and unique style of music. The EP's layered authenticity and well-crafted songwriting reaches from styles seeped in southern roots and stretches headlong into the modern west. The EP features soaring harmonies and well-crafted songwriting from Erinn Lukes, Pete Weber, and R.P. Oates. Erinn Lukes was raised on the sunny shores of Southern California, where she started playing open mics at 16. She then attended to her lingual talents, receiving a BA in Italian. As a powerful and expressive vocalist, she has performed her original songs at venues from Rome to New York City to Seattle. When she isn't showcasing her talent, she is busy fostering the growth of pre-school children. Pete Weber was brought up in the mountains of Colorado on bluegrass, skiing, and ambition. He moved to Fort Collins where he earned a degree in philosophy from CSU. When he isn't playing wildly jubilant riffs on his mandolin, you'll find him streaking down snowy slopes on his skis or counseling troubled youth. After collaborating with many Denver based projects, he has now turned his efforts towards being an avid mandolin picker and songwriter. R.P. Oates grew up in western North Carolina on collard greens, moonshine, and classical piano. At 17 he left home to focus on stringed instruments and science. He has since earned a masters in organic chemistry, while finding a home rolling on the banjo. As a talented songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, he spent the last year showcasing his talents in Austin, TX. Dax Hunter Jordan, also a native of Golden, CO, completed the rhythm section. A lifelong drummer, Dax has shifted his focus to the brand new art of bluegrass drumming. As he says, “Adding drums to solid bluegrass instrumentation allows the song to truly take flight”. Erinn and Pete met in Seattle as street performers at Pike Place Market. A chance meeting at the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival in September 2013 brought the full band together for the first time. They played their first show as Thunder & Rain at the Mountain Toad Brewery in Golden, CO. In their brief tenure together as Thunder & Rain, the band has captured a sound that accentuates their talents and is accessible to fans both young and old. Thunder & Rain's depth and unforgettable melodies are putting meaning back into modern country music.
